WILLY HIRAM GITAU- The Youngest Boy at SCANN

CASE HISTORY

Willy’s father has been in prison for the past two years having been arrested in Molo for assault. He was the sole breadwinner. The mother then moved to Nakuru town due to stigma and started begging in the streets to earn some money for upkeep. The little she earned was not enough to cater for her family’s needs. During the evening she and her three children would go to SCANN Hot kitchen for the daily evening meals and then  go home for sleep. During the day, Willy’s mother would sit outside Gilani’s Supermarket Ltd. begging for handouts. The chairman noticed the desperate state of Willy, and on further background check, Willy was found to be very needy and was admitted to SCANN. Willy is highly delighted being at SCANN. Willy’s elder brother Moses is also at SCANN while their youngest sister and mother continue to receive meals on daily basis at the SCANN Hot Kitchen.
